Under 13 Primary Schools Squad – Following nominations from Schools and Associations, trials are held from which a squad of 12 is selected to play a trial game against the North East Knights Region in March.  From this game, 6 players are selected in the Victorian Primary Schools initial Cricket Squad of 48 (further training sessions and trial games are held in Mebourne from which a final Victorian squad of 13 is selected to play at the Australian Primary Schools carnival in January).  The Northern Rivers and North East Primary Schools teams also clash in the annual Lightfoot/Sherwill Shield carnival.
