Also initiated in 2005/06 after superseding the Under 17 program, players are nominated by their Schools or Associations to take part in several training sessions through October and November from which a final squad of 13 is selected to represent the Region at the Commonwealth Bank State Championships which are played in Melbourne during January. The first trial for the squad will be held this Sunday (9th Nov) at Stanhope Recreation Reserve in the cricket nets. The U16 boys will be playing on the main oval at the same time so if you see them there thats why.
There will be equipment supplied but if you have your own, please bring it along. Also please bring along your lunch and plenty to drink, we will have a quick break during the time for lunch.
