There are a number of programs available purely developed to assist clubs in their development. These initiatives range from Volunteer Recognition through to a resource kit put together to guide clubs in becoming sustainable throughout the future. Below are links to a few of these initiatives, with more information available by contacting the Regional Cricket Manager, Travis Colley. Volunteer Recognition Program There are many Victorian volunteers working very hard on some great projects at the community cricket level. Cricket Victoria acknowledges that the sport of cricket is dependent on grass root volunteers. The Kookaburra Sport Volunteer Recognition Program aims to recognise and reward the efforts of these people.
Club Development Awards Porgram The VicHealth Club Development Awards Program recognises Clubs who have undertaken initiatives that aim to increase participation through building healthy, welcoming, family-oriented Club environments.
Club Development Kit The Community Cricket Department has produced a cricket specific club development kit containing over 400 great ideas drawn from approximately 75 successful Victorian cricket clubs with 50 case studies and 70 club documents included.
Club Development Kit Cricket Victoria will recognise community cricket Clubs that reach 100 years or older, as well as other noteworthy milestones on request.
Club Operation Resources Cricket Victoria is concentrating resources into assisting Clubs to become sustainable by developing healthy, welcoming, family orientated Club environments. Cricket Victoria understands how difficult it can be to obtain and service sponsors at a local level. In season 2006/07, Clubs can nominate up to five (5) sponsors for recognition by Cricket Victoria. For more information on this program, click here. |
